I took the Lunchbox Legend Guide to my kids' Preschool, and here's why

Yesterday, something I built at my own kitchen counter landed in the inboxes of parents at my kids' preschool, who might be standing in front of the same fridge I told you about a few weeks ago.
If you read my previous blogpost, you'll remember the story. Standing in front of an open fridge, unable to decide what to pack, not because there was nothing there, but because my brain had simply run out of room to make one more decision. I said then that most of us don't need more motivation. We need fewer decisions.
The Lunchbox Legend Guide is my answer to that.
How this actually came together
About a month ago, I sat down with the school's principal and owner to talk through the idea. Not as a sales pitch, but as one parent to another, explaining what the guide was actually for and why I thought it might help the families at our school specifically as well as the school because it makes packing a healthy balanced lunch easier.
Why the guide actually reduces decision fatigue
The Formula works because it removes the moment where you stand there wondering what to pack. Instead of starting from nothing every single morning, you're working from a structure you've already decided on, once, in a calm moment rather than a rushed one.
That's the difference between deciding fresh every day and simply reusing a decision you've already made. One drains you. The other barely costs you anything at all.
I bet every parent knows the version of my fridge moment. Extra mural activities, library books, snacks, all piling up before 8am. The guide isn't there to add another task to that list. It's there to quietly remove one.
What this means going forward
Having the school behind it like this, feels different to posting a link online and hoping it finds the right people. There are families I see at pickup, whose mornings might look a lot like mine did and my hope is that this guide takes just one thing off their already packed to-do lists.
And if you're reading this and wondering what the fuss is about, the guide is linked below.
