Time for a re-introduction

Hi, I’m Jo. Welcome to my little corner of chaos.

As women, we constantly have to re-invent ourselves and JO of All Trades started as a just that… a new season in my life. By day I’m a graphic designer. By night and honestly every other spare minute I’m a wife, a mom of two and a full-time hat juggler. Between school runs, work deadlines and snack requests, I discovered that my sanity lies in making things even if it is just “making things” easier.  Before I became a mom, I was a part time Lifestyle Photographer, which helped to fill in the little gaps and spoils that our monthly salaries just didn’t cover. Fast forward a few years, and being a mom has really made me value my time and health so much more.

JO of All Trades started as a simple business idea, a creative outlet that might bring in a little extra income through network marketing and sharing products that I already used and loved. But like me it quickly evolved to wear many hats too. At the heart of it all remained one simple thing: the many “trades” we as moms have to master every single day and sharing the advice, products and little life hacks that have made my journey as a woman and working mom easier.

As a new mom I leaned heavily on other moms’ stories, honesty and encouragement to navigate this wild ride called motherhood. That is exactly what I hope this space becomes for you. Part passion project, part mom therapy and now a space where I get to share the things I love with other multitaskers who do it all too.

Here you’ll find a quirky mix of handmade treasures, mom-hacks, humor and just the right amount of creative chaos. We also recently bought our own house (again) so there might be a little DIY involved as well. My hope is that something you discover here brings a smile to your face, a little calm to your day or simply makes the juggling act feel a touch lighter.
